Quito is a beautiful city and thanks to Quito Eterno we were able to explore the beautiful architecture, gorgeous landscapes of the Andes and mingle among citizens. The medical volunteering was definitely more fulfilling when Quito Eterno showed us the city and helped us understand who we were helping and why they needed it. Thanks so much. I experienced the Quito Eterno cultural program while participating as a medical volunteer for the Timmy Foundation. This program gave me a very unique opportunity to see the historical and cultural life of Old Quito. Quito Eterno's guides and historians help you re-live the romance, stories, and archetecture that is Quito of old and Quito of present. Because of their knowledge, professionalism, and dedication to the preservation of Quito's history and culture, Quito Eterno has the ability to expose you to sites that are unavailable to others. Using a mix of fact, fantasy, and theater, Quito is brought to life before you in a way I have never beheld in my other world travels. The experience is an unforgettable personal journey. It was truly an
amazing experience. Every detail was well organized and each day went very
smoothly with very few, if any, problems. I was extremely impressed with
how every site was ready and waiting for us and how quickly everything got
organized. We truly maximized our time at each visit. "Quito
Eterno is a wonderful organization! The staff are absolutely exquisite "Working
with Quito Eterno was awesome! Although when i started i felt a
little intimidated, the whole team greeted me like i was one of them
and made me feel like home. I spent four unforgettable months with
them, i learnt a lot about the Ecuadorian culture and i'm very proud
to say that i know the historical part of Quito better than most
Ecuadorians! Also, working with the international volunteers was
a lot of fun! I especially enjoyed going to the center for children
with special needs and repainting the elementary school. It was a great
opportunity to bond the volunteers together. I really enjoyed
all the visits we did outside of Quito, particularly the barbecue at
the Pululahua Crater! it was incredibly beautiful and quiet. I
would very much recommend working with Quito Eterno as they organize
great volunteer programs and make you feel part of a family!" Isabel Campos back to the top "The Timmy Foundation has been working with Quito Eterno for over 3 years and we are continually impressed at the consistency, dependability and hospitality of the Quito Eterno Staff. Our volunteers enjoy the variety of cultural activities during their week in Ecuador. Each activity explores a different aspect of Ecuadorian culture and the Quito Eterno staff is well versed in the rich history of Ecuador. They are always available and willing to answer the questions that the volunteers have. Each year we bring more groups to serve in Quito and we would be unable to do this without the hard work and support of Quito Eterno. Our relationship with Quito Eterno is one of the most important partnerships we have as it has allowed us to grow as a foundation and we looking forward to working with them for many years to come." Jessica Trimble Volunteer Coordinator Timmy Foundation back to the top "Over the course
of the past two years, I have had the opportunity to participate in two
volunteer medical groups with the Timmy Foundation and Quito Eterno in
Quito, Ecuador, the first as a volunteer translator and the second as
one of the organizers. Both times I was incredibly impressed
with the fact that 30 people from different backgrounds can create such
harmony and happiness while serving those less fortunate. For
the first time in my life, I learned that it is possible to smile
straight through ten hour work days, when the only compensation is the
thanks of worried mothers and the bright smiles of fascinated, happy
children. Working with the Timmy Foundation and Quito Eterno
in the volunteer groups has been one of the most fulfilling experiences
of my life. In fact, I was so thrilled by the work that I now
live in Quito, and help to organize and facilitate Timmy Foundation
trips full-time. The fulfillment that comes with each medical
brigade, the creation of lasting friendships, the opportunity to meet
some of the most interesting, generous, and genuinely cool people you
will ever meet, and the professionalism of the Quito Eterno staff make
the volunteer experiences here in Ecuador with Quito Eterno second to
none. I may never want to leave." "I spent one year, from the summer of 2003
to the summer of 2004, working as the international volunteer group
liaison for the Tierra Nueva Foundation in Do
